🚨 SWL News Dump 📰💩
It’s been another huge few weeks across the SWL family, with brilliant work taking place from Poole to Camden, Sussex to Bristol.

👏 A huge shout out to Dave in Poole, who has received not one, but two fantastic messages of thanks. One from a local business praising the difference he has made in tackling theft and antisocial behaviour, and another from an elderly lady he helped after a fall in the town centre. Dave went above and beyond, staying with her, helping her to safety and returning to check on her until she was collected. An absolute credit to SWL and Poole BID.

⚖️ Well done to our Crime Hub team, who helped secure 4 years imprisonment – 208 weeks behind bars – for a prolific offender in Sussex responsible for 138 offences and more than £5,700 in thefts. Another great example of the impact intelligence, evidence and partnership working can have.

🦅 Meanwhile our Vulture team have been hard at work on the road, stopping off for a quick photo at the Angel of the North while travelling between jobs.

🛍️ Our BID teams continue to deliver fantastic results:
• Croydon BID recovered over £400 of stolen goods from Primark.
• Bristol BID recovered £353.85 worth of goods from Mountain Warehouse and Lidl.
• Camden Town Unlimited recovered an incredible £970 worth of stolen goods across multiple incidents.

👮 Our P.O.T.S. team also continue to take on some of the most prolific offenders, making another arrest this week, recovering £234.25 of stolen goods and finding a knife on the suspect. Their work, supported by intelligence from our Crime Hub, is helping to keep businesses and communities safer every day.

💛 And finally, a special mention to our Camden team, who never fail to send in great stories. From raising crime prevention awareness to returning a lost phone to its owner, they continue to show that the role is about much more than crime prevention alone.

We’re delighted to welcome Gary back into the SWL family as Community Warden in Bognor Regis. 👊
Someone else has also been busy in Bognor. The ever-reliable Martin (who somehow manages to find trouble wherever he goes) sent in a sizeable alcohol recovery from Morrisons.

Behind the scenes but absolutely vital — our Crime Hub team continue to trawl data, triage intelligence, build police-ready crime packs and work hand-in-hand with partners and prolific offender teams.
This is where information becomes action, and action leads to arrests and convictions. Huge credit to the team pulling it all together day in, day out. 💚

As always… smashing it! 💥
Significant stock recoveries, including to Andre, proudly holding a very long receipt — a whopping £548 stock recovery. 📃
📊 Huge credit as well to Team Leader Jordan for pulling together the 2025 wrap-up stats, the team are clearly making a big difference in the community.
And yes… if Disney made a Community Warden team, we think they’d look something like that. 😂✨
Finally, a reminder of the wider reality — weapons seized and recovered, offenders going equipped to cause harm or break in. The work ranges from friendly reassurance to serious enforcement, and our teams handle it all with professionalism.

🎄 Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! 🎄

As we come to the end of another year, we want to say a genuine thank you to our entire SWL family — our employees, colleagues, clients, partners, friends, followers, and the many police forces and agencies we work alongside.

Throughout the year, an exceptional level of hard graft, professionalism and commitment has delivered real results. From protecting businesses and communities and engaging positively on our high streets, to strong partnership working that has led to convictions and meaningful reductions in harm, this work has made a genuine difference.

And while that dedication is shown every day of the year, Christmas is a particularly challenging time. For retailers, it’s one of the busiest and most pressured periods they face. For those working in security, it can mean longer hours, tougher conditions and a role that is too often thankless — keeping others safe while the rest of the world celebrates.

So to everyone who steps up, especially at this time of year, we want to say thank you and well done. Your efforts genuinely make a difference — to businesses, to communities, and to the people within them.

There’s no stopping our Camden BID Security Team. 💪

Week after week, we’re flooded with updates, photos and praise for the exceptional work they deliver across the district — from tackling shoplifters and seizing offensive weapons, to coordinating with local police, supporting businesses, and helping visitors. They help keep the high street safe for everyone — even reuniting the odd owner with a lost phone!

It’s no surprise that the local JD Sports in Camden reports the lowest crime figures in the entire country — a result they directly attribute to the presence, professionalism and consistency of our team on the ground. The results speak for themselves!

Really proud to have helped implement the new security service alongside Poole BID – right here on home soil in Poole.

Combined with UKPAC’s Business Crime Liaison Officer (BCLO) and the SentrySIS reporting platform, we’ve helped create a true end-to-end security model for the town. The perfect blend of intelligence, prevention, visibility and physical response.

🗞️ October News Dump! 💥

It’s been another wild month on the frontlines — with weapons seized, prolific offenders arrested, and thousands of pounds in goods recovered across our estate. Our teams continue to prove that crime doesn’t pay when SWL are around. 👇

📱 Camden BID: 3 stolen phones tracked to a nearby squat and returned to the business.
👮‍♂️ Bognor TTC: While investigating one theft, two more suspects were tracked through the park and intercepted — both arrested. £80 recovered.
💄 Camden BID: Two prolific offenders at Holland & Barrett. Both were wanted for Recall to Prison. £315 recovered, offenders detained and handed to police.
🛒 Euston BID: The team caught a fraudster repeatedly using a scam coupon to pay just 10p for heaps of goods. £195 recovered, three males arrested by police.
🔪 POTS: Knife seized, goods recovered, prolific offender stopped in his tracks.
📦 Poole BID: From Sainsbury’s Local to The Entertainer — multiple recoveries totalling over £89.
🍾 Camden BID: £152 recovered after alcohol bottles were foil-wrapped to defeat the tagging system.
🍫 Euston BID: Repeat offender walked straight back into a store he was banned from. Arrested on the spot. £184.65 of chocolate recovered. Later on, another Sainsbury’s — another confectionary recovery. £122.45 recovered.
🛍️ Farnham BID: £337 of stolen aftershave recovered from Boots. Awesome result!
🥩 Camden BID: Three males fought at the doors, but were all arrested by police and the BID security team. £98.55 Red Bull + £117.60 of steaks recovered.
🧰 Tools of the Trade: Screwdrivers and pliers seized — used to remove tags and go equipped for theft.
🦖 A new recruit joins the Bognor Regis BID team after being sneakily snuck onto the vest of the cover warden by a friendly store manager.
🚓 Bognor Regis BID: Prolific shoplifter arrested who was also wanted by police on a warrant for Failure to Appear.
🍷 Camden BID: 9 bottles of wine totalling £125, recovered with no breakages.
🕵️ POTS: Huge stock recovery made by one of our undercover teams, £404.29, great work!

It’s been another busy month for the SWL Security team — with thousands of pounds in stolen goods recovered and dangerous weapons taken off the streets. Here’s just a glimpse of what our SWL family have been up to 👇

📦 £512.60 worth of wine, snacks, meat, cheese & cleaning products recovered across multiple incidents — all returned to store.
🪚 B&Q tools and blades worth £217.20 back where they belong.
🎧 Sony electronics (£106.96) recovered thanks to fast-acting staff.
🧥 TK Maxx goods worth £1,394.48 intercepted — including clothing, luggage and homewares.
🛒 Additional stock from other stores, totalling £338.67, all recovered.
🔨 Weapons seized in Camden, Euston, and Bristol. As well as by one of our POTS teams. Including knives, a hammer, corkscrew, wooden club and even a make shift stake! All safely removed and reported.

Huge credit to our teams across the South - staying alert, stepping in, and keeping people safe.

What a month it’s been so far! From tackling thefts and seizing weapons to supporting community events and celebrating our SWL family. Here's a look at what we've been up to. 👇

🤑 £462, a premium haul! High-value skincare and pharmacy items safely recovered.
😦😵😯 Various offensive weapons seized and off the streets thanks to vigilant wardens.
🥩 £154 worth of stolen meats and chilled goods recovered from a known prolific offender in Portsmouth — all safely returned.
😎 Our Community Warden in Bognor Regis, keeping things safe and sound for families and fun-goers alike. Great turnout!
🍺 Nappies, chocolate, beer, snacks, toiletries — £201 recovered thanks to sharp surveillance.
🚓 Feedback from the Met Police. Justice served. Offender sentenced and ordered to pay compensation after repeat offences.
💄£127 worth of stolen cosmetics recovered. Great work.
👍Taunton Street Marshal Nic talking with Young Somerset, situated in McDonald's every Saturday to talk to youngsters about violence etc.
🐟 Something fishy going on here. No doubt being sold onto a local restaurant. £112.34 recovered and the offender was taken away by police.
