The wait is over…

This new build in Canford Cliffs is officially underway. The CGI visuals give a clear idea of the design intent, a home that sits naturally within its setting.

Planning was secured last year, the existing property was demolished in December 2025 and we’ve started 2026 exactly where we wanted to be… on site. And groundworks are now underway, pushing ahead despite the wet weather we’ve been having!

What we like about this stage is seeing the project move from screen to site - all the preparation, planning and design decisions starting to take physical shape.

It’s an exciting moment for us and we’ll be sharing updates as the build progresses.

The brief: more light and space 🌞

A local client just down the road in Canford Cliffs had the perfect plot for their home but it was missing natural light and room for the family.

Sometimes, all it takes is a simple approach.

By adding a modest first-floor extension to the master bedroom, combined with a separate single-storey extension to the open-plan living area, we’ve completely transformed the home. Natural light now flows throughout, creating a calm, airy feel that works perfectly for family life.

We love a transformation.

This family found the right location, close to the beach here in Southbourne, Dorset. However, the house itself wasn’t working for how they lived.

The project included:
✔️ A ground floor single-storey extension
✔️ A two-storey side extension
✔️ A loft conversion
✔️ Garden and landscape design to tie everything together

And the feedback?
