Your garden is doing absolutely nothing. πŸ˜…

A detached garden annexe can be:
βœ… A home office that actually feels like work
βœ… A space for aging parents to live independently nearby
βœ… A rental unit bringing in monthly income
βœ… The guest room you've always needed

Under permitted development, many single-storey garden structures can be built without a planning application β€” depending on size and location.

And if you need something bigger? Our team handles the full planning application.

Fixed price. Everything included. No surprises. πŸ’›

Pocket House by Tikari Works β€” proof that limitations can become the making of something remarkable.

Built on the site of a former double garage in Peckham, South London, this RIBA Award-winning home squeezes 100sqm of beautifully crafted family living onto an 80sqm plot. Upside-down plan, sunken courtyard, cedar timber screen, and spruce plywood interiors β€” every constraint turned into a design opportunity.

RIBA London Award 2019. RIBA House of the Year shortlist. Stephen Lawrence Prize special mention.

This is what bold thinking on a small site looks like.

Carl Turner Architects

This narrow infill plot in south London could have stayed a car park. Instead it became one of the most published houses in London.

Three staggered cedar volumes. A live-work home that earns its place in the street β€” and then some.

RIBA London Award winner. Proof that the most interesting homes often sit on the trickiest sites.

Slip House, Brixton β€” by Carl Turner Architects β€” won the RIBA National Award and became one of the first certified Passivhaus homes in the UK. All on a narrow infill site in a conservation area.

Staggered floor plates maximise every square metre. A polycarbonate facade handles light and privacy at the same time. And the energy performance? Some of the highest standards in the country.

Tight site. Smart thinking. Extraordinary result.
