We’ve recently completed this bespoke x2 flight staircase with additional landing installation, working in collaboration with Austin Joinery to deliver a clean, solid and beautifully finished result.

This project included:
✔️ Two full stair flights
✔️ New structural landing
✔️ Solid newel posts & handrails
✔️ Clean balustrade installation
✔️ Ready for final finish

Built for strength, built to last and designed to completely transform the space.

🚨 Why a safe, solid staircase really matters 🚨

Today I repaired a staircase that was very close to collapsing. From the outside it looked “a bit bouncy”, but once opened up it was clear the structure underneath had failed and was no longer safely supported.

Staircases take constant load — people, movement, impact — and when they’re not properly supported or fixed, they can become dangerous very quickly.

🔧 This kind of repair isn’t just cosmetic

A safe staircase needs:

• Correct structural support
• Load-bearing timbers fixed properly
• Secure connections to walls and floors
• The right materials in the right places
• Knowledge of how weight is transferred

It’s not a patch-and-fill job — it requires proper carpentry skills and an understanding of structure and safety.

If your stairs creak excessively, move underfoot, dip, or just don’t feel right, it’s always worth getting them checked. Small warning signs can hide big problems.
