We grow and sell a huge range of plants, everything from tiny alpines to mighty trees. The wet, windy and mild climate of Wester Ross has lead us to specialise in tough salt wind tolerant plants.

Mid June is prime bog Iris season with many varieties flowering across the Nursery as well as the wild yellow flag.

The American Iris versicolor and it's hybrid I. x robusta do surprisingly well around here and the Siberian Irises love it.

Comming in to flower as these finish will be the Iris ensata which can also be planted in shallow water.

Summer Bedding Plants Now Available.
All your favourites for big impact summer colour for pots, baskets, troughs & beds!
Besides plants we have sturdy, stable decorative plastic plant pots, empty hanging baskets, high quality compost & professional control release fertiliser for the best performing bedding scheme posible.

1 - Bedding plants in the Nursey sales area.
2 - Lobelia Waterfall Blue Ice - In pots this is a bigger cousin of the normal Lobelia erinus that come in packs, work great towards the edges of big tubs & mangers.
3 - Begonia Non-Stop Yellow - these meaty flowers tolerate harsh conditions well.
4 - Bacopa - Amazing masses of white (or blue or pink) flowers that work great in baskets even in dull spots.
5 - Double Surfina Petunia - Surfinias are the kings of hanging baskets, vigorous with large colourful flowers all summer.
6 - Mixed Packs - too much choice? Can't decide? We have a selection of mixed packs of 6 plants in various combos.
7 - Brachyscome Surdaisy White - Hardy wee carpet of lovely starry daisies.
8 - Unloading the lorry from Greens Nurseries with our plants.
9 - We make up tubs and baskets for those without the time to make their own.

Rhododendron edgeworthii is an amazing species, ranging from E Nepal to SW Sichuan. It thrives in rotting pine logs here in the NW Highlands of Scotland. The flowers have a powerful sweet scent and the leaves in many forms have great rufus indumentum underneath and deep veins above.

1. The well known FCC form from Bodnant.
2. A lovely white form from Sichuan.
3. 'Logan Surprise'

Compost re-stock!
Delivery this morning from Westland including "Jack's Magic" compost, with the old peat rich recipe once more!
"Raised Bed and Vegetable Soil" that mixes with the very popular "Soil Improver" to make great raised beds for veggies & flowers.
NEW - "W**d Stop Ground Cover", a mulch made of finely pulped wood fibre & bark fines that will knit together better than normal bark mulch, so it shouldn't all blow to one end of the garden or all settle at the bottom of the slope so quickly.

Plenty of veg plants still to plant in the compost too, and more coming by Wednesday.
