A double height entrance hall intersects the two distinct volumes, where timber and brick converge in honest, tactile harmony. The floating staircase ascends between the volumes, forming an expansive half landing that frames the historic outbuilding, before continuing up to the lightweight bridge connecting the two wings.
The space is bathed in natural light, courtesy of expansive glazing on both sides and above, embracing the surrounding natural elements. Throughout the day, the space transforms with an ever-changing interplay of shadow, contrast, light, and shade, casting an evolving animation on the large exposed walls.

Taking our first step beyond borders 🌍
We’re excited to share an early concept for a new scheme in the Algarve, nestled in the hills near Alto. While still at a conceptual stage, it’s already shaping up to be a truly special opportunity.
The approach is intentionally simple and minimal - allowing the landscape and sweeping views to take centre stage. The architecture is defined by a bold C-shaped overhang, designed to provide natural solar shading to the bedrooms and living spaces.
At the heart of it all, an infinity pool stretches out towards the horizon, making the most of the incredible setting.
More to come as this vision develops.🤞

We chose to vault the ceiling in this bungalow rather than extend into the loft, allowing natural light to pour into the open plan kitchen and living space. Natural materials arranged in a minimalist style complete the space.
