You should all be familiar with the beautiful framed designs from Elle from ! She has kindly agreed to join us again and we now have a wonderful selection of her beautiful work ready to share with you!

Available for the next two weeks at Mole Cottage.

Please message to book a slot Monday-Thursday but as nearly everyone wants to visit over the weekend, we will be opening to all without booking a time slot

Friday 10am-3pm and Saturday 10am - 1pm.

Any other times please message! Plus lots of you will need direction to find our tucked away burrow!

So what is HEARTH?

HEARTH is our new offering from Harp Studio. It is a monthly membership based around the concept of home. It is a place to inspire and to come together.

So what is inside HEARTH?

Each day this week we will explore the different elements.

There will be regular ‘Dispatches from the Desk’ from Justine and guest bloggers.

We already have wonderful contributers such as
goldberg sharing her renovation of an 18th Century French Farmhouse

from Australia sharing life and tips from Australia

and he wonderful twiggy world

and her poetic photography.

On the day we launch HEARTH - and in true style- I now have COVID which has meant a delay in getting everything uploaded to the membership site. Aagh! So we will be going live this evening instead of this morning.

But this is STILL a double celebration day because not only are we excited about going live this evening but Harp Studio and HEARTH are in this month’s 91 Magazine] 🎉

The original hearth

I’ve written for HEARTH about where the whole idea and concept started. I can date it to February 2009 - that was the beginning, though I didn’t realise it at the time.

Simple Living

As we do the dance of Spring weather, to the tune of ‘it’s so cold and now how wonderfully warm’; has the perfect solution! An outside wood burner!

HEARTH living at it’s best!

We are edging closer to opening the doors to HEARTH, our wonderful new membership launching on Monday. HEARTH is about the concept of home and what it means to be home. A place of interior inspiration and chat.

We will open our doors on Monday morning. And hopefully send out early invitations on Sunday evening to those of you already on our waiting list! (I say hopefully as, as you know, we’re dealing with tech here not paint swatches!)

Magnolia, coral and books

It has to be done. Spring means magnolia playtime. Our magnolia needs pruning, so why not prune when you can also enjoy the fruits of your labour 💕

Digital detox

Thought a photo of a sleeping cat in the sunshine might be the balm we all need. Everyone seems to just be exhausted and over stretched at the moment. There are so many things beyond our control that are huge stressors in our lives.

Let’s all be as kind as we can, to others and ourselves. And that’s hard when nerves are frayed. Remember to breath deeply and soak in the wonderful sunshine that is expected for the next few days in the UK. Let the sunlight sink into your bones and warm your soul.

A big stylist no no

Flowers on a wood burner always make me cringe. Well anything other than a kettle or pan to be fair, it doesn’t have to be flowers. But the dark mixed with Spring sunlight meant I had to try and capture this dichotomy 🖤💛

Popped there for seconds and then popped back in the cool.
