After a pretty tricky growing season, which culminated with storm Dave a week ahead of the event, we had a fantastic weekend seeing all the new and familiar friendly faces this weekend! Thank you to everyone who came to visit and to everyone who helped us get ready. We raised a fabulous amount for charity, all due to everyone's generosity and our friends' help with baking (Ellie and Josie). The weekend just wouldn't happen without the help of a lot of people, and so we really want to thank everyone - the amazing Rosemere Cancer Foundation crew - Eileen and Steve, Sue, Dorothy, Linda, Norma, Margret and Christina, and our other cafe helpers - Nina and Bob, Anne-Marie - the cafe would not happen without all their help. Thank you To Elaine and Steve, our resident beekeepers for the very generous amount of honey donated for charity. It was lovely having the Preston People's Choir, as well as the Painting workshop and the Hardy Plant Society stand, and Hilary with information and advice on fruit tree grafting. Parking for nearly 1000 visitors is no mean feat, so thank you Howard, Mike, Florin and Vasi for bearing with it throughout the weekend. The till crew - Barbara, Dale and Josie did an amazing job, as ever. Not lastly, getting ready for an event this size, and making sure everything runs smoothly on the day takes some doing, so thank you everyone who's always there to help - Bob F., Ellie, Josie, Tommy, Vasi, Florin, Alina, Thelma, and for those other important things, Delia and Mirela, we would struggle without your support. Congratulations to our 3 raffle winners, Jenny, Lesley and Sue!

Exciting recent sightings at the nursery. This year, we are most excited about the cluster of common spotted orchids and the profusion of eucalyptus flowers. There must be something in the no mow May!
