A lovely replacement fire fitted last week.
I supplied and fitted the "legend vantage" gas fire with chrome trim and fret and the black granite slips.
The contrast between black and chrome looks great.
There were also alterations made to the inside of the chimney to make the new gas fire fit correctly.

I had a little help on today's job. 3 generations of the family on one system upgrade.
Dave Newton - my father-in-law and my young nephew Freddie Allen . He was keen as mustard.

How I found it vs how I left it.
A leaking, very corroded boiler with a host of issues was removed.
In its place, an excellent 5 year guarantee boiler from the Baxi UK range. The Main Eco compact. Coupled with a new wireless programmable thermostat. This heating system will provide economical heating for years to come.

I'm on the hunt for a big gas leak this morning. A complete loss of gas pressure within seconds on my pressure gauge. The house was reeking of gas when I walked through the front door. 😬 scary stuff .

I had an interesting one yesterday. I Saved this handsome little fellow from behind a gas fire. Usually they hang around the warm chimney pot breathing in fumes. The carbon monoxide knocks them out and and they fall in.
