Good afternoon guys, just a little quick post to let you all know what I was upto last week.

Monday I was in portobello helping a good friend of mine get the finishing touches done to a full kitchen renewal we'd done, I was rewiring in the new sockets and light switches, installing new extractor hood, wiring in new electric cooker and hob and installation of new under unit spotlights.

Tues I was in Haddington giving a front and rear garden a quick and simple makeover that's made a huge difference by making shuttering up one side of the back garden and putting in membrane and white cotswold chip stones after removing all the roots etc. And around the front there were 2 areas of grass around 3m x 3m so again, the grass was cut right down, timber framing built around the perimeter then membrane and white cotswold chips put in there also.

Wednesday I was at my nieces in blindwells installing a new television bracket, putting up a chrome clothes rail inside a cupboard, fixing a wardrobe and set of drawers to the wall to prevent any injury to her little girl should she decide shed like to start climbing 😂

Then Thursday and Friday I was in Prestonpans carrying out a big pressure washing job and building a brand new 6m 3ft high brown rail and slat fence for a lovely customer, now she can enjoy the use of the communal courtyard with her children and dog without having the added stress of them venturing further than they should.

And today I'm away for a nice relaxing night in Selkirk to unwind and recharge the batteries

My customers from yesterday's decking install have just sent me these pictures of it after they've given it the once over with clear decking oil and put all their garden furniture on it. They are absolutely over the moon now they have a space like this to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

Good evening guys, just a quick post to let you all know what I've been upto this week. Monday I was back at a previous job in Prestonpans that myself and L & R Joinery were at renewing kitchen worktops and units. I was there to fit the end panels to the new boiler wall unit and finish of the silicone around the worktops. Then I went up to Edinburgh to replace a faulty cistern fill valve that had broke causing the water to keep filling the cistern and into the overflow which meant water kept coming through the toilet.

Tuesday was a quiet day just removing an old damaged disused sky dish as my other jobs had to be put on hold due to the weather.

Wednesday I was in Musselburgh at a returning customer who'd asked if I could make a seating area in her garden so she could sit and enjoy the sun instead of just sitting on the grass with a mat. I used timber gravel boards which were securely staked into the ground and put in 2 tonne of white decorative chip stones.

Thursday I was again back at a previous job where last week I dismantled an old catio in her back garden and added a new 6ft high brown rail and slatted fence right around with a 300mm timber canopy to help prevent the cats venturing and also maybe for decorative flower baskets etc to be hung.

And then to finish of the week I was in Prestonpans building a new decking area for a lovely couple. Upon a visit a few weeks prior, I'd suggested that if the old decking boards be removed for inspection of the sub base as it still looked in pretty great shape from what I could see it would save on material and labour, which it was, after replacing one piece of rotten joist I then extended the decking sub base an additional 2.5m x 3m. There's mixed opinions on which way a decking board should be laid and the customer opted for the smooth face upwards. Personally I think it'll look amazing once it's been clear varnished/oiled as it'll bring out the old rustic grain look.

Then home to cut the grass 😂
