A big thank you to Walters Ash Garage for getting our van back on the road 🚐🔧

We've trusted the team at Walters Ash Garage with our vehicles for a number of years now, and once again they came to the rescue when our van decided to throw a spanner in the works.

As a small business, being without a van can have a huge impact, so we're incredibly grateful for their help in getting us back up and running as quickly as possible.

A huge thank you as well to our customers for being so understanding while we dealt with the unexpected disruption 💚

It's always nice to be able to support and recommend another fantastic local business.

Lovely to see the bees so active in the garden this week 🐝🌸

Foxgloves, lupins and scabiosa are absolutely buzzing at the moment and are such a great addition for pollinators. Moments like this are one of the best parts of working outdoors every day 🌿☀️

With the hot temperatures we’ve been experiencing this weekend, your garden will definitely appreciate a little extra care 💧🌿

A few watering tips during the warm weather:

• Early morning is best — the water has time to soak in before the heat of the day
• Avoid watering in the middle of the day as it evaporates quickly and can scorch delicate plants
• Evening watering is fine too, although it does tend to encourage the slugs and snails 🐌
• Pots and hanging baskets will dry out much faster than borders, so keep an eye on them
• Water deeply and less often rather than a quick daily sprinkle — it encourages stronger roots

Hydrangeas are usually the first to let you know they’re thirsty, but newly planted shrubs, veg plants and anything in containers will need extra attention too ☀️

The veg beds are officially underway for one of our customers in Beaconsfield 🍅🥒🌱

Tomatoes, cucumber, courgette, zucchini, strawberries and the beginnings of a herb bed with rosemary all planted up.

Another week of garden maintenance across the Chilterns complete 🌿

From regular lawn cuts and hedge trimming to weeding, planting, and general tidy-ups, it’s been a busy one getting gardens back under control and ready to enjoy.

Before & after 🌿

This shady patch beneath a large tree had become a frustration for the customer, with the lawn struggling to grow year after year.

So instead, we embraced the conditions and extended the border with planting suited to the environment — including Fatsia japonica, Sarcococca, heucheras, bergenia, geraniums and ferns 🌱

Finished with a layer of farmyard mulch to help improve the soil and retain moisture.

A much better use of the space, and one that will only get better as it fills out ✨

This border had become completely overrun with lemon balm and weeds, so the customer wanted it cleared back ready for a fresh start.

A big tidy-up, but it’s amazing how much space and structure comes back once everything’s cleared through.

Now ready for replanting and a new lease of life ✨
