We recently completed this loft conversion in the lovely area of Summertown Oxford. The customer was craving some extra space for the grandchildren and felt that the previous loft conversion wasn't giving them quite enough.

The team were able to knock through the existing conversion and build up along the ridge line gaining the extra height required to fit a lovely new bathroom, hallway and bedroom. The customer wanted to maximise the use of this space so we fitted a bespoke fold down bed, which when folded away fits in seamlessly with the rest of the room meaning it can also be used as a study or to create space for guests.

Natural light was also another key element of the project; so these lovely Victorian style timber frame windows were fitted along with a new solar powered roof light!

Launton job update!!

Been a busy week for the team over in Launton. With all structural work completed, the loft space has started to be insulated and is now ready for a final layer of trioso insulation and counter battening to be installed as a fixing point for plasterboarding. Externally the roof had felt applied and battened at 100mm spacings ready to be tiled. velux frames fitted and flashings kits started.

The team here at CNB Renovate have had a busy end to the week, on Thursday we dug a 3m x 5m oversite and which was filled with type 1. friday the 600mm x 600mm sandstone slabs were layed, and today we finished the space with this beautiful handmade pergola.

Lovely day over at Launton today for us here at CNB. simple gable to gable roof was pitched by the team, constucted out of 7.2m rafters at a 35° pitch. This enables us to feature amazing vaulted ceilings throughout the conversation, with a stunning finished height of 5m. The steel A-frame towards the back of the property makes it possible to install a set of bi-folding doors leading out to the balcony area as well as a window situated above the doors to maximise the level of natural light brought into the master bedroom
