A complete transformation we have just finished of a front garden in Broadstairs.

The first picture shows the start of the excavation of 46 ton of soil and old concrete.

Finished result is a double driveway linked by a path at the top and a formal centre bed design. Both driveways were substantially widened and the front wall modified with new piers and top.

The whole surface is sandstone setts laid in a herringbone patten edged in a double row of brick laid in a half bond on edge.

Before and after on a front garden in Birchington where the lawn had completely died.

The customer wanted to replace it with shingle and planting but didn't want it too look boring. A feature glacial boulder and some smaller rolled rocks help to add some height and graded shingle sizes make it a little more interesting. Im looking forward to seeing the planting come on now spring is on the way!
