Newbuild property in Mortimer builders install roof panels and basic inverter in the loft ( no monitoring device and no way to store the surplus energy 🤦) answer new battery / inverter moved to the garage easily expandable in future for more storage plus recouping the cost within 3 years and providing battery back up if required.

Fitted an Ecoflow power ocean inverter with 5KWH battery on a new build property as most new builds have a basic inverter in the loft but no battery so we brought the wiring into the garage making it easy to add more batteries in the future plus in the event of a power cut they have a socket to keep the fridge freezer ticking over 👍

When I started fitting solar pv 2010 all I ever heard was that's expensive your never get your money back or the classic on radio 2 ( you can't even book a kettle on it ) well this is the last sunny quarter payment and the Fit System still has 10 years to run with ever increasing unit price increasing and now with battery storage your increasing savings on your electricity usage 🤗
