This kitchen proves you don’t need a huge space to make it work. You just need the stuff that matters and the right systems to you use it purposefully.

This growing family had 2 children under 5, another baby on the way, just 3 cupboards and 2 drawers to store everything.

The goal wasn’t to make it Pinterest-perfect. It was to create a kitchen that worked for their lifestyle.

Let’s get into how I did it… 👉

This kitchen had two challenges…

There wasn’t enough storage for everything they owned, and there was no clear system for where things belonged.

Food, cookware, appliances and Tupperware were all mixed together because the cupboards were doing too many jobs.

💡 Top tip: Before buying organiser/containers, ask yourself two questions:

1. Do I have enough space to use these?
2. Am I storing similar items together?

Most kitchens need a combination of decluttering and better systems.

This family had outgrown their kitchen.

With two young children and another baby on the way, they’d naturally accumulated more than their small kitchen could comfortably store.

Every cupboard was storing a mixture of unrelated items, which meant nothing had a proper home.

Instead of asking, “Where can I squeeze this in?” I asked, “What categories make the most sense?”

I grouped similar items together and gave each cupboard a single purpose. That way, everyone in the family knows exactly where to find things—and where to put them back.

💡 Top tip: Try to avoid mixing categories. For example, storing Tupperware alongside food often means the shelves become overcrowded and awkward to use. Give each cupboard one clear job wherever possible.

Things were being put away wherever they could fit

Because space was so limited, items had simply been squeezed into any available gap.

So before organising anything…

🍃 We did a thorough declutter.

Out-of-date food, duplicates and items they no longer used were removed first.

Only then could I create a system that would actually last.

This was one of the most challenging kitchens I’ve organised.

The reality was that this family has outgrown their kitchen. With two young children and another baby on the way, they simply don’t h

PART 4 🌿

Progress is progress… even if it’s slower than you’d like. 💚

This part was all about painting the fences, but before we could even start, we had to prune back the rose bush and cut back this mystery plant that’s completely taken over the corner! 😂

Does anyone know what it is? Let me know in the comments because I’m genuinely curious!

Work is getting busy again now, so I’m not sure exactly when we’ll get back out here. But don’t worry… I’ll keep sharing the journey.

Stay tuned for Part 5! 🌱

**🌿 Project Morning Coffee | Part 3 **

Objective: to be able to enjoy the sunrise with a coffee in a nice garden.

This time it was all about tackling the jungle.

As much as I love my palm trees (they remind me of holidays 🌴), they were getting far too big. And they’ll only keep growing so my dad cut off two branches, and each branch had three crowns, which created an unbelievable amount of garden waste! 🍃

Add that to all the leaves I’d already cleared, and it was time to load the car to the roof and head to the tip 🫠🥵

This was all during the heatwave, so I made sure my dad stayed in the shade under the parasol, had plenty of water, and kept cool with a misting spray. There was no stopping him though! He absolutely loved being out there and slept brilliantly that night.

I, on the other hand… barely slept at all because my bedroom felt like it was about 35°C. 🥵😂

There’s still plenty to do, but for the first time in ages, my garden is starting to look like a garden again.

Next up: 🌹 prune the roses, 🌱 tackle the weeds, and 🎨 paint the fences.

Follow along for Part 4!

Professional organising is much more diverse than people realise!

I’m a general organiser and declutterer, with a particular interest in ADHD-friendly organising because I live with ADHD myself. I don’t claim to be an ADHD specialist—I simply understand the challenges first-hand and create practical systems that are easy to maintain.

I also LOVE wardrobe workouts. I studied at the London College of Fashion, and I’ve always believed that what we wear is an extension of our personality. I enjoy helping clients declutter and organise their wardrobes, but there are also brilliant personal stylists who are specially trained to help you discover colours, shapes and styles that suit you best.

And if I’m honest… I could probably do with a digital declutterer myself! 😅 Not because I don’t know how to organise files and photos, but because, like so many of us, I don’t always have the time. We all have different strengths, and that’s one of the things I love about this profession.

Have I missed a type of organiser? If you’re a fellow organiser, I’d love you to add to the list in the comments so we can help more people understand just how many different specialisms there are. 💛

🌿 Victorian Yarden Rescue | Part 2

When I moved in, these were two-foot bushes.

I had absolutely no idea they were palm trees… or that they’d eventually turn into giant leafy monsters that drop debris everywhere and start invading the neighbour’s garden. 😅

To be fair, they do give me a bit of privacy, and I do appreciate them, but they’re high maintenance roommates and they were getting seriously out of hand.

This video is basically me doing the boring groundwork in a 36°C heatwave so my 90-year-old dad could safely get up a ladder and give them a much-needed haircut. 🌴✂️

Stay tuned for Part 3… where my dad ignores all heatwave advice and auditions for Britain’s oldest tree surgeon. 😂

Turns out you can be a professional organiser and still have an ADHD garden. 🤷🏼‍♀️

To be fair, it was lovely last summer. I had the pool out, spent loads of time out there and really enjoyed it.

Then summer ended, I put the pool away… and apparently decided that was enough effort for one year. 😂

Everything else stayed exactly where it was. I never packed the furniture away, cleaned the barbecue or did the usual end-of-summer reset. My garden is tucked round the back of my Victorian terrace, so once I stopped seeing it, it became a classic case of out of sight, out of mind.

I love a tidy environment and my house is easy to keep on top of because I’ve got good systems in place, but the garden got to the point where it felt so overwhelming that I didn’t even want to go out there anymore.

Which was annoying because we’ve had all this lovely weather and I couldn’t even enjoy my morning coffee outside.

I’ve also just genuinely been busy and haven’t made the time to tackle it sooner.

This is Part 1 of the garden rescue. 🌿

Follow along for Part 2 and to see how the rest of the makeover unfolds… because I’m going extra this year, repaint in fences and making it pretty. 😂

💕Client love 💕

One of the biggest misconceptions about hiring a professional organiser is that you just need to “find the time” to do it yourself.

But when you’re living in the space every day, it’s hard to see what isn’t working anymore.

Sometimes you don’t need more hours in the day – you need a fresh pair of eyes, practical solutions, and someone to help you make decisions and create systems that actually fit your family and lifestyle.

Helping clients go from “we can never find anything” to “everything finally has a home” is honestly my favourite part of the job. 🩷

Thank you, Lindsay, for trusting me with your home. I can’t wait to tackle the garage with you! ✨

📩 If you’ve been thinking “I really should sort that room out one day…” this is your sign to stop putting it off and ask for help.

These are the kinds of jobs that only take a few minutes, but somehow never seem to get done.

Until you’re rummaging through your handbag looking for your keys, can’t find your favourite eyeliner in your makeup bag, or, if you’ve got kids, you bravely reach into a coat pocket and discover something sticky. 🫠

Give yourself 10 minutes today and pick just one:

• Handbag
• Makeup bag
• Bedside table
• Coat pockets
• Car glove box

Empty it completely, throw away the rubbish, wipe it out if needed, and only put back what you actually use.

These tiny resets can make everyday life feel so much calmer. And don’t be surprised if ticking off one small job gives you the motivation to keep going.

But if you stop after one? You’ve still made progress. 🙌🏻

ADHD isn’t a lack of motivation. It isn’t laziness. And it definitely isn’t not caring.

Executive dysfunction is what happens when the brain struggles to start, switch between, or complete tasks – even the ones you want to do.

You can be staring at a pile of dishes, thinking about them all day, feeling stressed about them being there… and still feel completely unable to begin.

That’s because ADHD affects brain chemicals involved in motivation, reward and task initiation. Your brain isn’t broken, it’s just wired differently and responds differently to everyday demands.

If you’ve spent years calling yourself lazy, disorganised or “not trying hard enough”, I hope this reminds you to give yourself a little more compassion today. 💛

Save this for the next time your brain convinces you that you’re failing. You’re not lazy. You’re working with a different operating system.
