Fineline Architects We create architectural solutions tailored to individual needs. We have local knowledge and experience within the Oxfordshire / Berkshire area.

We are a young and ambitious practice based in South Oxfordshire, full of energy looking to work with interesting, like-minded clients. As architects, we can lead and guide clients from the concept of a project through the process to completion. Each new project is started with a fresh approach, with the intention to deliver design quality and management expertise above and beyond the client’s exp

ectations. We pride ourselves in having a keen eye for detail at all stages in a project. We build a working relationship with every client to fully understand their needs and aspirations for the project. At each stage in the project we engage the client in the process by presenting a carefully considered, realistic and refined approach. We relish the challenge to respond to a client’s brief and site whilst working within the constraints of their budget.

Our Henley project is well underway in the detailed design stage. A black timber clad two storey rear extension and art studio are to be added to this traditional Henley home.

The two storey extension will reconfigure and open up the new open plan kitchen dining area, also allowing for a new Master Suite at first floor level.

The existing garage is to be demolished, allowing for a new gym and art studio within the replacement volume, connected to the house via a glass link.

The interiors package is also underway in-house alongside our architectural service.

At Fineline, we do not have a prescriptive style. We work on projects ranging from contemporary to traditional. The designs are developed to complement the site and the clients' wishes.

What is consistent across the board is our attention to detail to creating a seamless and sensitive design on all of our projects. Our projects have a clear flow through the spaces, key views are set up throughout the house to the exterior, and natural daylight runs through our homes.

Each project is bespoke to the client, in how they want to live in their new home each day.

We use visuals throughout our process to really help clients understand the details of their project. Every client reads a drawing differently and the visuals allow us to have in depth discussions over the quality and nature of the spaces proposed.

During the initial design stages we use a 3D model to talk clients through the design, using this to explore different avenues and material combinations.

Once the design has been finalised for Planning, we then take this to the next level with highly realistic visuals.

If clients decide to proceed with our in-house interiors package, we develop the model even further to include all of the key rooms with finishes and fixtures.

At Fineline we offer an in-house interiors package to enhance our existing architectural service. Our aim is to assist clients in every way we can to streamline the project process, delivering a whole house specification and opening up our trade directory.⁠

This results in a seamless design from the exterior through to the interiors, but it ensures that we have a full specification for pricing at the start of the construction stage. This not only provides cost assurance but reduces the number of decisions having to be made on site, allowing for a more enjoyable site stage.⁠

A stunning view at one of our projects for a Georgian period property and stable outbuilding. Piecemeal extensions to the main house over the years have resulted in a disjointed layout and rear elevation, which are to be addressed within the scheme. A stable outbuilding in poor repair blocks this gorgeous view from the house, and options are on the table to remove and relocate the outbuilding to create a more spacious feeling on the site.⁠
