We have a superb opportunity for experienced Fire and Security System Installation and Service Engineers – reporting into our Theale Office and covering Hampshire and Berkshire. We have available positions for service engineers as well as more advanced roles for experienced installation and commissioning engineers.

Founded in 1982 we have been providing bespoke Fire & Security solutions at the extreme high end of the UK market for 40 years. With a client base predominantly consisting of high-net-worth individuals, we have to ensure the highest possible standards and we utilise the very latest technologies in order to maintain our client's total security and peace of mind. As well as London, we also cover the South of England securing some of the largest, privately owned estates in the country.
About the role -
The role of Engineer will include carrying out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs and installations of Fire alarms, Intruder alarms, CCTV systems and associated equipment and products, whilst continually promoting Berkeley Guard's products and services.
About you -
To be successful for the role of Service & Installation engineer or Senior Engineer, you must have / be:
Gained prior experience of the installation or service of the above systems
A flexible, team player
Able and willing to participate in out of hour's standby and call out rotas (additional payments)
A good level of physical fitness as manual handling and working at heights will be involved
Skills and attributes
You must be able to demonstrate the following qualities as an Engineer:
Commercial awareness
Problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Good presentation (ensuring company vehicle and uniform are kept clean and smart in order to always promote a professional image)
Ability to work on own initiative
Possess a reasonable level of written numeric skills
About the rewards -
All of our engineers undergo a training and development programme, and this is ongoing throughout their career and will consist of industry recognised diplomas in skills such as auditing, NSI and BAFE standards, IP Network training, Fire system design/commissioning as well as general health and safety and manufacturer specific training.
For the role of Service & Installation engineer, there is a salary on offer of £25k to £35k and for more experienced design/commissioning engineers higher rate packages are negotiable.

We operate a 10-hour maximum diary for our engineers and allocate empty afternoon slots to accommodate call outs that come in. This largely prevents our engineers from having to do call outs out of hours.
All time beyond 10 hours is paid at time and a half (double time after midnight)
Paid standby for on call and door to door payments if call outs are required
Up to 25 Days Leave Plus Bank Holidays
