The Caversham Picture Framer, first established in 1985, is a bespoke framers, art gallery, and mirror specialists. We practice conservation framing and specialise in hand finishes, including painting, staining, and gilding. We also can advise on restoration and add an invaluable service to local galleries, artists, and collectors.

Join Christabel’s brilliant drawing course, across 4 Thursday evenings in August. Inspired by observational drawing in and out of the studio, you will learn different drawing techniques, and build up a portfolio of drawings which will guide you into a world of your imagination. Fancy urban sketching? We may just have the class for you!

Come and spend the day drawing outdoors in Caversham and Reading with painter and printmaker Isabel Carmona! Explore different observational sketching techniques from line to watercolour washes that will allow you to feel confident to go out and sketch on your own or with your local group.

Date: 14th June from 10:00-17:00
No experience needed.
Bring with you your preferred drawing kit; such as pens, watercolours and brushes, water container, tissues, fine liners (0.5mm minimum thickness and 0.8mm or brush tip are good).
Sketchbooks will be provided.

Our collection of Joan Miró lithographs, woodcuts, and etchings are now on display and for sale at The Caversham Picture Framer gallery.
You can drop in Tuesday-Saturday 10-4pm to view the show.
Make sure to join us on the evening of the 27th February from 5:30pm for an evening of wine, cheese, art, and music. Dr Hannah Lyons, curator of The University of Readings art collections will be doing a short talk on Miró at 6:30pm, all welcome! RSVP via the link in our bio!

Join us in the gallery on Friday 6th February for an unforgettable evening as we journey through six exceptional Spanish wines, each representing the rich diversity and heritage of Spain’s renowned wine regions. Wine specialist Emma Foster will guide us through the tasting.

We will also be providing cheese and nibbles, and the event will be set among the incredible art of Joan Miró.

Last minute Christmas present idea incoming... Tetra pack printing with artist Cath Baldwin! Learn how to use packaging from your recycling bin to produce a series of printed images that look similar in style to traditional copper plate etchings.

You will learn which packaging is suitable for use, how to use tools and tricks to produce an ‘etching’ plate ready for printing, how to ink up your plate, how to prepare your paper and finally how to print!
