Matt Cuzick Carpentry and Miles Banks completed this staircase for Charles Grosvenor Loft Conversions . It's a softwood staircase featuring cut strings and continuous handrail in sapele.

The handrail was made up as one section prior to installation and sits atop the newel posts, with the balustrade finishing straight into the wall.

The staircase will eventually be painted and the handrail oiled making it a striking feature of the house.

Matt Cuzick Carpentry and Miles Banks have completed another staircase refurbishment for Grosvenor Stairs this week. The existing newels posts have been clad in oak, with new oak handrail, base rail and spindles. The new woodwork will be given a coat of Osmo Polyoil and the rest of the staircase will be painted white.

Finished the week by installing this staircase for a customer in Gloucestershire.

Supplied by Charles Grosvenor Loft Conversions, the staircase is oak treads, handrail and spindles with softwood strings and newels.

Miles Banks gave me a hand with this project and we're both really pleased with the outcome.

Another project completed! Working with Jamie at Limitless Fabrications; installed the glass and handrail today. The powdercoated steel goes great with oak treads and apron.

The lower staircase supplied by Charles Grosvenor Loft Conversions is solid oak, which then had matching steel newels to carry the theme through.

The newels were designed to give the effect of the handrail floating above the glass.

The staircase and surrounding oak has been finished with satin Osmo UK which I recommend to all my staircase customers, as it is easy to apply and great for protecting and bringing out the qualities of the wood. Once the handrail has been given the same treatment it will all tone in.

A recently completed staircase refurbishment by Matt Cuzick Carpentry. The Oak newels and handrail complement and look great with the chrome spindles. The spindles catch the light and brighten a dark hallway.

The oak contrasts nicely with the existing white paintwork and is finished and protected with a satin oil by Osmo which brings out the depth of the wood.

The customer installed their own lights along the string which adds a fantastic detail and completes the design.
