Our customer contacted us regarding a composite deck they had installed 5 years ago from another deck company which we had to advise customer not to walk on as a matter of safety incase the deck collapsed..
The budget composite boards used on this build were all warped and split due to poor installation of timber subframe which was severely rotten and warped.
Lack of airflow around the timber subframe has resulted in this deck being fully replaced at the cost to our customer.

Installed on fully treated c24 strength graded subframe, m12 bolted into composite ground posts to ensure no rotting at ground point and a good solid fixing to subframe..

25mm airflow around perimiter of deck to all abutments to ensure proper breathing and expansion.

Good quality midrange composite grey decking boards installed at 300mm joist centers as per manufacturers recommendations so to ensure boards stay solid and in warrenty..

Looking for a carpenter or someone with a level of deck building experience, or at least some basic woodworking tools to join on our team..
We will provide all the digging equipment needed for posts and levelling off, we are just looking for someone to start installing our decks for us.
Training can be given if you have limited or no experience in deck building. As long as you have some level of woodworking experience.
Must have driving license and own vehicle..

Could be a permanent job for the right applicant..

Customer wanted it left open at the front and sides so didn’t feel to much like a box. Which works quite nice and creates massive ventilation for all the joist timbers underneath.
Customer now wants us to remove old perished timber decking nearer the house
And replace with the same chocolate coloured composite board with wood grain finish..

Lovely midrange grey composite deck board used on this build. Installed on fully treated c24 strength graded timber subframe, all cut ends re treated!!! (This is so important when building subframes for composite builds but often over looked) timber 4x4 posts into ground wrapped with post saver sleeves to ensure longevity of our ground posts life.
Job was replacement for old perished and slippery timber deck for a newly retired couple.
Grey is the most popular colour for most of the jobs were quoting at the min

Loved building this quirky deck over a little natural stream near licky hills.
Customer wanted an area of decking built where the afternoon sun hits for a nice cold beer after a days graft.
Customer requested we used a composite decking system but wanted a cost effective equivalent to stainless or composite balustrade, so we suggested a timber built system that we sometimes use on our timber deck installs.
He also wanted to included a privacy screen from next door to also act a lady a bit of a wind break.
Again we used Saige composite decking products as we feel they are a quality product and being based in Stratford on Avon they are nice and local for us..
