Don’t forget to recycle your Christmas wrapping paper!

More and more people in Cornwall are recycling their wrapping paper - thank you! Make sure you do the ‘scrunch test’ to see if it can be recycled before putting it in your orange cardboard recycling bag. screw up a piece of wrapping in the palm of your hand, if it stays scrunched it can be recycled, if it unfolds it can't.

There's a shortage of pulp material in the UK at the moment. As a result, many retailers and manufacturers are moving across to plastic trays for egg boxes.

They are completely recyclable and should be placed in your red bag with the rest of your plastic pots, tubs and trays. 🥚🍳🐣

Finally time for the decorations to come down?

Remember - We'll collect & recycle your REAL Christmas tree for FREE 🎄

Just put your tree out with your rubbish on the opposite week to your recycling in the weeks beginning 6 and 13 January.

It'll then be shredded, composted and used on farms in Cornwall.

​Instead of putting your pumpkin in the bin after , why not try this instead ➡️
🎃 Scoop out the seeds and roast them.
​🎃 Make a versatile puree that you can use in pies or other recipes.
​🎃 Cook up a warming meal, like soup or curry.
​​🎃 For any 'flesh' you're not able to use right away, freeze it raw, to use later.
​🎃 ​Compost what you can't eat, or put it into your collection instead.
