Last week, colleagues from Occupational Therapy, Renfrewshire Council, local contractors, and our Care & Repair team came together for a joint training session— a great example of strong partnership working across services in Renfrewshire.

The session focused on the practical equipment and home adaptations that enable people to live safely and independently. Using real-life case examples, attendees explored how shower adaptations, ramps and other modifications have helped local residents return to work, remain active, and continue doing the things they enjoy.

Our Care & Repair team also highlighted the support available through our Small Repairs Service — providing safety, security, electrical and joinery assistance to help people stay safe and comfortable in their own homes.

Our Care and Repair team – Alison, Lynne, Veronica, and Mark – had a fang-tastic time helping out during Bridgewater Housing's Halloween Party at Erskine Arts! 🕸️

It was wonderful to join in the fun, meet so many familiar faces, and celebrate the spooky season together. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and even a few frightful costumes!

We’re really proud of our three Small Repairs workers who have just finished their Disability First Training, run by I Am Me Scotland. Andy, Iain and John are the first mobile workers to be certified in this training, and we hope this encourages other organisations to get involved too.
