Damp Proofing Repairs to original solid stone walls‼️
Customer initially contacted us to carry out a damp proofing inspection as part of a grant application. They required a detailed assessment, recommendations, and a quotation for any treatment needed.
Following our inspection, elevated moisture readings were detected at the lower sections of the original ground floor stone walls. Signs of hygroscopic salt contamination were also evident, indicating long-term moisture ingress associated with rising damp.
A full written report was provided outlining our findings and recommendations prior to any remedial work being carried out.
Repair:
- Removal of all contaminated plaster and render✅
- Installation of a new Damp Proof Course (DPC)✅
- Application of a damp proofing membrane to act as a salt and moisture barrier✅
Following completion of the treatment, the walls will be ready for replastering or standard dry-lining (dot and dab) techniques after just 24 hours.s
These repairs provide a long-term solution, protecting the property against rising damp and preventing further salt contamination within the wall structure.
