It's really hot out there!....grass has stopped growing so there's little to no mowing and weeds are so slow all because there's no H2O!

If you really do need to mow (as some grass species like Ryegrass will think the end is nigh so will send up seed heads which can make a lawn untidy) then make sure you set the mower on a higher cutting height to cut them back without further damaging the lawn.

If you find any Spring bulb bargains at your local outlets, buy them as it's still not too late to plant Tulips. Daffodi...

If you find any Spring bulb bargains at your local outlets, buy them as it's still not too late to plant Tulips. Daffodils, Crocus, even Snowdrops.... They will just flower later on in Spring!

Clearing fallen leaves from lawns and borders, keeps these areas neat and tidy and prevents build up of possible disease outbreaks on lawns. All fallen leaves can be composted and although takes several years to make good leaf mould, once done is a great way to add as a mulch to borders each Springtime.

it's mid November and this year's mowings have now ended. Lawns have more or less stopped growing so no mowing til March...

it's mid November and this year's mowings have now ended. Lawns have more or less stopped growing so no mowing til March!. Now to get the mowers serviced, blades sharpened including edging shears and put away until next years growing season!
