Greenhouse base completed today.

Built using UC4 treated sleepers with additional ecosote treatment at ground level, laser-levelled throughout, mechanically fixed with sleeper pins and corner brackets.

Installed over a w**d membrane and compacted hoggin sub-base, infilled with 40mm scalpings and finished with 20mm limestone chippings supplied by G Farwell

A solid, free-draining foundation ready for the greenhouse installation and further surrounding landscaping.

It doesn’t always need to be insta-worthy show gardens… sometimes customers just want a muddy unusable area turned into a utilitarian trackway to use as clean and stable access for garden machinery.

We dug out the old dirt and turf, replaced with necessary depth of path gravel from G Farwell Ltd and compacted, followed by a blinded topping of their 20mm shingle compacted into the base layer to leave a clean and stable surface.

Thanks to Tool Hire for getting a digger out to us at short notice 👍
