A message from our director Jonathan Dalton and all the team at Dales Water Services Ltd.

In these difficult times of COVID-19 we would like to reassure our customers, new and existing, that we remain open during any lockdown periods that the country faces to assist in maintaining your water supply delivery and treatment systems. We are also continuing with new installation work as we know many projects are still moving forward and require our input to progress.

We have been advised that we need to remain open as lack of water supply, or water of the wrong quality, can be a serious health hazard to humans, animals and livestock. Water is also necessary for food production and other important industrial processes that we all rely on and we recognise the importance of our work.

We are committed to providing our normal high level of service during these times, we have introduced ways of working to try and minimise our staff coming into contact with customers, we will always endeavour to maintain social distance in any on site discussions and where at all possible we will hold personal conversations outside to help minimise risks.

We have been working hard this summer (and its only just begun).

We have recently installed a new borehole for a golf course so that the green and tees can be watered even in the driest of conditions. This is a fantastic borehole but it was over 350m away from where it needs to be? Did that mean digging up the golf course?

No! Horizontal directional drilling means the pipeline could be installed without damage to the golf course, including going directly under tee no. 3!

Although our spider crane is primarily used to pull deep borehole pumps it is very versatile.

Recently we have lifted large scale pipework for a customer inside a building. The crane was supplied with a fully trained operator and the lift undertaken in compliance with a full lift plan as a contract lift.

At this site the water treatment equipment from the borehole water supply is used to treat the water for a luxury spa including the whirlpool bath.

The booster pump is wall mounted which saves on floor space but also means that it is at a nice height if you need to alter the parameters to increase the flow or pressure of supply.

The ultra violet purifier, the last piece of equipment in line, provides point source neutralisation for bacteria (if any is present) before the water is delivered to service.

Another borehole being drilled to provide a domestic water supply. This is just the first part of works to complete the supply but can be considered the most important as without the water you can’t do very much!

As drilling progresses drill rods are progressively added so we can go deeper to access the sustainable water.
