In Bury, another Garolla Roller door with snapped straps. This time a hoover had been left in the way, as the door was closing and because there's no safety features on these basic doors, it doesn't stop it from rotating and then the straps break. I fitted 3 new straps and supplied and coded a new handset

In Rochdale today, I replaced 3 broken straps on this Garolla Roller Door. The door hit the car electric charging cable as it closed, causing the straps to snap. I supplied and fitted 3 new ones.

In Littleborough today, I replaced my customers unreliable garage door motor with a brand new Sommer Aperto Lx garage door opener with 2 new handsets. I removed and disposed of the old LiftMaster motor and now the customer has a new motor with a 5 year warranty.

I was called out to this job in Bamford by a customer, who advised that their automated up and over garage door wasn't opening or closing properly . I arrived and could see that the bolt holding the lifting arm had come loose. I removed the springs, so I could safely put the arm back together, refitted the nut, serviced the door and it's now back to full operation.

Earlier in Rossendale, I was called out to this GDS insulated sectional door, as one of the side tension cables had snapped. I replaced both cables, added tension to the spring and serviced the door and motor.

In Newhey earlier, I repaired this Fort, up and over Canopy door that was stuck open. Both tension cables were snapped and the roller had damaged and come out of its tracks.

I replaced the side tension cables, retensioned the spring and repaired the tracks. The door according to the customer, works better than ever..

Happy New Year, Happy Customer with a New Motor in Heywood today. The old LiftMaster motor packed up and I replaced it with a brand new Sommer Aperto L, with 2 new remotes and a 5 year warranty. I also fitted an emergency release lock to the front of the door, so if there's a power cut, the customer can still get in.

This Hormann up and over garage door in Tottington, Bury had an unusual problem. The cable had snagged meaning the customer had to cut both cables, this meant the spring lost all its tension, breaking the spring mount.

I ordered a new one, fitted it with 2 new cables, retensioned the spring and got the door working good as new. Earning a 5 star review, which I'm always grateful for.

In Norden today I replaced the motor on this Seceuroglide roller door. The motor made noises when the remote was pressed but the door didn't lift up, it wouldn't lift up using the manual release either.

When I disconnected the door and removed the barrel it became clear as to why. The drive gear has snapped off. I replaced the broken 30nm motor with a more powerful 50nm motor.
