Optimistically thinking about the joys of spring and summer, we also have to think about getting the best out of our roses and giving them a good start. If this is a worry to you, don't, we'll show you how to prune your roses and what to do after that with a rose pruning demonstration and a hands on session. The date is Tuesday the 17th. February 10am- until we get cold/tired or bored. Refreshments will be provided. Having endured January with it's copious amounts of rain, hopefully we can look forward to something a bit better and get out into our gardens and enjoy some sunshine while listening to the birds singing! We've been a bit quiet recently.
A lovely house has been built for us on our nursery and we have just moved in.
Here it is, still quite a bit of work to do and in case you're wondering if your eyesight is not what it used to be, it's not your eyes it's curved. My bad photography makes it look like it's sloping!

Its the bare root time of year, the roses are coming in from the fields and we are busy pruning and assembling the order...

Its the bare root time of year, the roses are coming in from the fields and we are busy pruning and assembling the orders. The roots are very big this year probably due to the dry weather, so the plants should get established quickly as its all about the roots.

Anyone who has visited us at Pococks both in Romsey and Cornwall will undoubtedly have met the lovely ‘Pococks Pooches’ Sam the spotty dog and Demelza the Corgi.
It’s with much sadness I tell you that Demelza is no longer with us. She had a wonderful long, full life and will be greatly missed ❤️
Sammy the spotty dog will now demand all of the attention!

We're having a sale for the next few days, our potted roses are still flowering but we are now thinking about the new stock that we will be digging up from our fields in the next few weeks and needing space for. It's buy one and get a second half price including our standard roses and what a great time to plant now it's rained a bit!
