Sunshine on a rainy day ☺️
Despite the weather, there has been joy! We've started to harvest our new varieties of tomatoes - the wonderful Black Bear that really tastes as good as it looks and Indigo Pear, a nice addition to the tomato bowl.
Hope you're enjoying your crops too πŸ…πŸ…

Free πŸ“ plants ☺️
If you haven't done so already, it's worthwhile pruning your strawberry plants now. It will not only clear your dead leaves and get some air around the plant whilst it's still warm, but you will also find lots of free new plants at the end of the runners.
Just peg them down and once they've rooted in a couple of weeks, cut the runner and remove the peg.
You can also pot them on so you can enjoy lots of delicious strawberries from all around your garden next year - yum πŸ˜‹

Philadelphus
Our Philadelphus 'mock orange' has been amazing this year, hope yours has too! However, now is the time to chop it right back.
I was a bit nervous about doing this last year, but be brave and go for it - the results the following year are spectacular and the smell is sublime.
P.S. If you like our stained glass art made from recycled floorboards, made by a small independent outlet, you can find it on Etsy 😊

Spent a wonderfully relaxing time here today although I have to admit, I am experiencing the after effects of sweet pea envy!

Praying for rain!
Our house plants love it when you put them outside in the rain.
Today we were rewarded with a new baby Maranta leuconeura or Prayer Plant which I found hiding down the side of her mother - isn't she gorgeous 😊

Wimbledon= Strawberries πŸ’•
You don't need much space to grow these little jewels - keep an eye out though, if you're not quick enough like me, you'll have beak holes in them, which means they go straight on the bird table for our visitors to enjoy 😁
