So there maybe a little bit of rain in the air but that's no excuse to leave the garden!
Now is a great time to get the garden ready and prepped for the season ahead. Clearing dead material will spruce up the garden and allow spring bulbs to come up.
It's also easier at this time to get to parts of the garden that are usually blocked when plants and flowers are in full bloom.

So it would appear that this cold spell hasn't lasted long and things are warming up! An early spring looks like it is back on.
If you need any help in your home or garden or you would just like some advice please feel free to get in touch :)
But for now sit back, relax and have a lovely evening and be sure to make some time to get in the garden tomorrow as Sunday looks wet :(

So the cold has well and truly arrived! However that doesn't mean that there aren't a few jobs that can be done.

As well as enjoying the beautiful morning frost and the sunlight braking through the fog, now is a great time to prepare for the months ahead, Seeds can be ordered now so the are ready to be sown. Decking and patios need to be brushed to get rid of any dirt that may make them even more slippery.

Finally if you don't want to be outside in the cold it's a perfect opportunity to get some of those indoor jobs completed like a spot of decorating or putting up shelves.

I guess most of you have heard about this cold snap that is on it's way!
With the warmer temperatures that we have been having, some of the buds may of started to come out on a number of your garden shrubs and trees.
Make sure that you rap up any sensitive plants with garden fleece to prevent any frost damage to the new buds! This can be detrimental to the plants. Take extra care of oriental plants and non native species!

Hi all, So it's a new year and I'm going to try and be a bit more proactive on here :) I thought I would start with a few gardening jobs for January.

If you had a real Christmas tree this year don't get rid of it, shred it and use it to mulch the garden!
With this weather we are having at the moment make sure everything is tied and secure!
Now is a great time for pruning (on the less windy days), things like apple and pear trees as well as cutting back grasses :)

Hope you enjoy and don't get too wet, lost count on how many wet coats I have gone through this week :)
