When you're in the trade it's rare you get round to doing your own home improvements...

This weekend I had the pleasure of installing a new Solidor Door on my own property.

This door is top quality, provides our home with extra security, looks a million percent better and we no longer get a cold draught into our home.

We opted for a Twilight Grey as we think it looks unique and refreshing.

The hardware we picked complements the Edinburgh slab and the London etch glazing provides a modern twist on a traditional door.

We were unsure about opting for thumb turn lock as we're used to the traditional handle. But having 2 children under 4 we feel at peace knowing that the door is locked at all times and no little fingers can reach and open from the inside. The ABS Secure. High Security Locks. Avocet Cylinder (6 keys) is lovely to use and we felt comfortable with the change immediately.

Before and after. What a transformation!

This customer opted for a Distinction door in Chartwell Green with a Cream frame and Palma glazing.

The glazed arch allows for that extra natural light entering the home.

As well as an improved look this customer is also benefitting from a more energy efficient front door, no more draughts, external noise reduction and extra security.

Transformation Tuesday!

This customer has had a full house of windows replaced by us but we think the door today has been a real transformation!

The colour choice has really complimented the white frames of the new windows and given the house a totally refreshed look.

Friday's before and afters.

This customer wanted their front and side door to complement each other in design.

They opted for a stylish Distinction composite in the colour black with satin glass and a clear border. Allowing for privacy aswell as letting some natural light into their home.

The side door is a black PVC, using the same glass as the front, also allowing that much needed natural light into their kitchen.

This change has modernised their home whilst providing extra security.
