This is a door panel for a customer in Sheffield. He is a keen skier, and wanted something in that style. The background of the glass was gluechipped to remove chips of glass to give the appearance of ice crystals, and the rest of the design was etched. The glass was then made into a double glazed unit.

A customer in Sheffield asked us to make 2 traditional leaded windows for her front door side panels. She had found a design in a magazine, and asked if we could make something to match.
The photo's show the original design, and then the process of making the drawing, cutting the glass to fit the pattern, building the windows with lead, and finally, after soldering and cementing, the finished windows. She was extremely happy with the work !.

A short time ago, we had an order for some painted brass disks for office buildings in Saudi Arabia. The disks were polished, and then vinyl masks were applied to the areas where the palm trees were. The discs were then sandblasted and spray painted white. Afterwards, masks were again applied, and the areas of lettering were painted green. When dry, the masks were removed, and clear lacquer was applied to the whole disk. When dry, they were machine polished. They came out very well !.

An acid etched window was deliberately broken in a pub in Stockport.
In the Manchester area, there used to be many companies who could replace windows like these, but sadly, most of them are now gone. We were asked to manufacture the window using traditional processes. The customer was highly delighted with the result.

The musical director of a choir was retiring from her post, and we were asked to make a piece of glass to present to her. During lockdown, she had composed a piece of music, and the notes from this were engraved into the glass. She also liked Kittiwakes, so I engraved an image of one at different depths below the music score. We also applied her name in the corner of the glass, but I have obscured this for privacy reasons. Afterwards, I applied copper foil around the glass. and soldered loops of copper to the top corners to allow it to be hung in a window. She was very pleased with the finished piece.

An old friend asked me to make a door panel for his house with a stag's head on it.
I drew the design and etched it onto toughened glass. It was then made into a double glazed unit, and my friend had it installed.

If you have a bar at home, we can personalise mirrors for you with the name of your choice. This one was etched from the back of the mirror, and infilled with white for the lettering, and gold for the border. Any colour combination is possible.
