Another planning application recently prepared and submitted ✍️🏡

This project involved the design of a single-storey rear extension to create an accessible downstairs bedroom and shower room for the client, helping to make the property more practical and future-proof for their needs.

Working alongside the council’s Aids & Adaptations team, the layout was carefully designed to ensure the proposal met the required accessibility criteria while still integrating naturally with the existing property.

The scheme includes:
• A new accessible ground floor bedroom
• A spacious level-access shower room
• Wheelchair turning areas throughout
• Wider door openings and accessible layouts
• Flat roof contemporary extension design with simple clean finishes

The proposal has been designed to significantly improve day-to-day living while maintaining a modern and sympathetic appearance to the existing house.

Another exciting planning application recently prepared and submitted ✍️🏡

This project involves a substantial transformation of the existing property through a two-storey side extension alongside a part single-storey / part two-storey rear extension to create a much more practical and modern family home.

The proposals include:
• A bespoke ground floor games / cinema room 🎱🎬
• A luxury master suite with walk-in wardrobe and private ensuite
• A larger rear lounge space creating a more open and usable downstairs layout
• Enlargement of the existing upstairs box room to improve functionality and overall space

The external design combines crisp white render, stone surrounds and clean contemporary detailing to completely refresh the appearance of the property while still complementing the original dwelling.

Something a bit different from the usual…

I’ve been flat out with permitted development jobs and building regs packages lately, so it’s been really nice to get stuck into a proper design project again.

This one’s a traditional stone bungalow that’s currently in planning. The front keeps that classic look and feel, but at the rear we’ve introduced some more contemporary elements, cleaner glazing, sharper detailing, still sympathetic, just a bit more refined.

It’s always a good challenge finding that balance between old and new.

Whether it’s a straightforward PD scheme, a full planning application, or a detailed building regs package, I’m involved from start to finish.

Now we wait and see what planning say 🤞

PLANNING APPROVAL GRANTED!
After 18 months of back-and-forth, revisions, consultations and sheer perseverance… we’re thrilled to announce full planning approval for these two stunning detached dwellings in Wickersley! 🎉🏡🏡

The plan is to demolish the existing bungalow on site and replace it with two contemporary new-build homes, each designed to make the absolute best use of the plot. These dwellings combine crisp modern detailing with traditional materials, creating a bold yet sympathetic addition to the local streetscape. From the standing-seam cladding to the brickwork and large glazed openings, every element has been carefully thought through to elevate the character of the site.

A huge thank you to our clients for their patience and trust throughout this long process and to everyone involved who helped push this over the line. On to the next stage! 💛🖤

After a year of design iterations, planning permission finally granted! 🎉

We’re pleased to confirm approval for this single-storey L-shaped rear extension in Retford.

This application has been ongoing since October 2024, originally submitted as a two-storey side extension. After several design changes and refinements, we’ve now reached an approved scheme that works perfectly for the client and complements the existing home.

The extension will provide a bright, open-plan kitchen and dining space with patio doors leading out to the garden — a simple, modern design that really enhances the ground floor layout.

A great example of perseverance paying off! 👏
