This week hasn't been an easy one for me.
Lately, l've been feeling mentally and physically drained.
Whether it's from overworking my body, the pressure of running a business, or simply carrying the weight of responsibility every day, I genuinely found myself questioning everything. I even had thoughts about packing it all in.
I thought about how much easier it might be to work for someone else again. To turn up, do my job, go home, and switch off. No quotes in the evenings. No stress. No worrying where the next project is coming from.
But then I stopped and asked myself: is that really the life I want?
The truth is, I started my business because I wanted more freedom, more purpose, and the opportunity to build something of my own. Walking away now would mean giving up on everything I've worked so hard to create over the last few years.
It also made me reflect on how far l've come.
I was the goofy kid who didn't have many friends, didn't particularly excel at school, and certainly wasn't the person people expected great things from. My parents wanted me to go to university, get a secure job, and follow the traditional path.
Instead, I chose a different route.
And when I look back now, I realise I've achieved things I never thought possible. I've transformed homes for amazing clients, built a business from the ground up, worked with brands, travelled, met incredible people, and created opportunities for myself that once felt completely out of reach.
So while this week tested me, it also reminded me of something important:
Sometimes when you're exhausted, stressed, and overwhelmed, you don't need to quit. You just need to remember why you started.
The journey isn't always easy, but growth never comes from comfort. And if the younger version of me could see where 1 am today, I think he'd be pretty proud.
And honestly, I should be too.
