Healthier banana bread with chocolate chips

In my never ending quest of making nutrient dense but treat like food, I put together this healthier banana bread. It’s been easy to incorporate in my calorie deficit plan and a great snack to pack for the kids lunch boxes.

70g slice gives you around 135 calories, 6 grams of protein and 2.6g of fibre. Where calories come from matters more than you think. It’s not always just about a deficit but eating calories that keep you full and satisfied. And this slice really did help with that!

I may not be baking professionally anymore but nearly 4 years on I still bake sourdough bread for our family. We don’t eat it very often so I bake and freeze ready for a slice here and there when we fancy it. ( plus freezing and toasting turns the sourdough into a resistant starch) 💕

If you’ve attended one of our workshops, are you still baking your bread? 🍞

My youngest has been asking for 🐡gold fish crackers for weeks! So what do I do?

…Made my life infinitely harder by making these myself. 3 ingredients only and totally worth the effort when I saw his little face yesterday as he sat and ate his crackers. He wanted them for his school snack as well 💕

A square is around 133 calories with 4 g of protein and 2g of fibre.

Smoothie bowl topped with granola, cinnamon and honey caramelised apricots and pecans.

The kids have started asking for smoothie bowls.
I make these using mostly frozen fruit, avocado, kefir and a variety of fibre like ground chia and ground flaxeed. They are delicious and refreshing. A great a summer favourite.

Evening everyone!

Sorry for my quietness, it’s been a few long weeks and have forgotten to share my food and recipes!

Here is a quick protein bagel, egg and egg white omelette, avocado and tomato I had for dinner.

My dinner came it at 423 calories, 31g protein and 7 g fibre.

I’ve been focussing still on keeping myself in calorie deficit, walking 10000+ steps and day and adding weight training a few times a week.

One stone gone and feeling fitter and stronger.

Happy to share the protein bagel recipe.

Brownies but make them healthy and packed lunch safe.

It’s basically cocoa baked porridge topped with 70% dark chocolate and tiny bit of white chocolate ( optional)

I did get the thumbs up from the kiddos, can be made in large wuantibiyes and if you don’t have a large brood like I do 🤭, freeze and have ready in your freezer.
