My wife’s post…. 💗
Family Is Everything
There are moments in life when you pause not because the world asks you to, but because your heart insists. In those moments, you see it clearly: family is everything.
Each day, my world is shaped by the laughter, courage, and love that live within the four walls of our home. It isn’t a perfect world there are storms and stillness, laughter and tears but it’s ours, and it’s full of grace.
Freya: The Fire and the Flower
My daughter, Freya , bright as a flame, soft as a petal. She is arty and caring, beautiful and flamboyant. There’s a strength in her that defies the challenges she faces. Despite her health battles, she meets each day with courage that humbles me.
Some days are tough, yes. But Freya’s mindset, her hope, shines through it all. She reminds me that joy isn’t found in perfection, but in persistence. That even in pain, we can create beauty. Most adults could learn from her resilience; I certainly do, every single day.
Azrael: The Peaceful Warrior
Then there’s Azrael, my justice-led, peaceful warrior. His humour lights up a room, and his clever mind constantly surprises me. He sees the world with such clarity, such kindness. There’s always a smile waiting on his lips for everyone he meets.
He carries wisdom beyond his years , the kind that doesn’t need to shout to be heard. Where Freya brings fire, Azrael brings calm. Together, they balance each other, two halves of a perfect harmony.
My Husband: The Constant Gardener
And at the heart of it all stands my husband, David, my love, my partner, my friend. He is the constant gardener of our life’s tenets: Peace. Love. Compassion. Unity.
He tends to our family’s spirit with quiet strength, nurturing what we’ve built, reminding us that the roots of love grow deepest in understanding. Together, we’ve learned that marriage isn’t about grand gestures it’s about tending, daily, to the little things that make life bloom.
Our Garden of Life
We are, each of us, unique flowers in this family garden growing, learning, and reaching toward the light. Some days the rain falls heavy, and the soil feels cold. But even then, we grow.
Because hope lives here.
Because love lives here.
Because family is everything.
