A very satisfying refresh for the ‘sokkel’, or foot, of this home in Ærøskøbing. Traditionally painted with a bitumen based paint, it provides waterproofing to the base of the buildings, and looks darn neat to boot!

Whilst I was at it, I refreshed the door with linseed oil paint, and gave the sill a fresh oil too.

A fresh lick of paint, a new coat of oil, and a new tap to boot ✨

This beautiful solid wood kitchen was looking a little tired after 20 years of use, but it is now looking as good as the day it was first fitted, and ready for many more years to come.

Paint is Farrow & Ball estate eggshell in White Tie, and the oil is Rustins Danish oil.
