I've not posted for a while, due to being very busy making people happy.

This is an apartment we completely renovated last year. It hadn't been touched for over 40 years, so needed everything doing to it

To begin with, we had to do a complete strip out. The bathroom and kitchen were removed. The whole apartment was stripped of all wallpaper, and all flooring was cleared. We also had to remove suspended ceilings, alter doorway, create built in cupboard areas. The list goes on

We then got....

Aaron from Brightbolt electrical contractors to carry out a complete re-wire.
Jake from JP Plumbing & Heating to install new plumbing and a central heating system.
Matt from MSP plastering Isle of Wight to plaster the whole property.

Everything else was completed by ourselves. The decorating, Tiling , kitchen fitting, Ripping out of the old fireplace and replacing with an original Victorian re-claimed fireplace. The colour pallets were a bit questionable at first, but everything worked so well once put together.

This project has been very labour and time intensive. However worth every bit of it to see the end result. It has been transformed into a lovely modern apartment.

Before and after photos of a 1 bed flat we recently renovated.
It had very bad ni****ne stains everywhere, and the kitchen and bathroom were a wreck.
The ni****ne was blocked in by giving every surface 2 coats of oil undercoat. There are products on the market specifically designed for ni****ne, but I find undercoat does the job just as well and for a fraction of the price!!
Everywhere was then prepared accordingly and given 2 coats of Dulux trade vinyl matt. The woodwork had 3 coats of Dulux trade satinwood.
The kitchen and bathroom were ripped out. All walls and ceilings were plastered and painted. A brand new bathroom and kitchen were installed followed by new double glazed windows in the bedroom and lounge. Along with new carpets and vinyl flooring in the kitchen and bathroom.

An exterior carried out in Cowes. The condition was a lot worse than it looked. All of the panels and trims on the bay needed replacing, along with the left corner section of the window sill. The left hand panel along with the front of the curved sill on the ground floor also needed replacing. all of the repairs were carried out by Warren Godfrey carpentry. The lower walls below the windows were repaired using Touprelith f masonry repair filler. All was primed, undercoated and finished using the Dulux weathershield range.

A recent project completed at Whippingham Community Centre. We had to get the tower scaffold out of storage for this one. Johnstone's Covaplus white emulsion on the ceilings. Covaplus emulsion in winter shiver on upper walls. Johnstone's trade acrylic eggshell in composure below the dado rail and the woodwork was finished in Johnston's professional undercoat and gloss.

That was a sweaty one. 5m x 4m and going off as soon as quick as it was going on.
Flattening an Artexed ceiling tomorrow on another job, then back here on Friday to skim the walls.
I love a bit of plastering 😅😅💪💪

Went for a clay pigeon shoot today with Island Claybreaks. What a great way to spend a couple of hours. Excellent service, excellent site, excellent experience that everyone should try at least once. It's very addictive and we will definitely be doing it again.

2nd of two bedrooms completed for a client. Again, using the Caparol paint brand, Graham and Brown wallpaper and Water based Satin on the woodwork.

A kitchen make over recently carried out.
Ripped out old units, re-sited electrics, boarded and skimmed ceiling and walls, painted and finally installed new kitchen. a couple of bits to finish off but client is over the moon with the transformation.

An Oak staircase recently installed by Warren Godfrey carpentry.
I went over it with 240 grade sandpaper, vacuumed and wiped with tack cloth before applying a coat of Osmo Polyx-Oil. Followed by another prep of 320 grades sandpaper, vacuum, tack cloth and a final coat of Osmo.
Another very happy client.
