Beautiful images of this idyllic home in rural Knebworth, where we were thrilled to supply and install the glazing throughout. 🌿

These images showcase our elegant timber windows, each made bespoke for its individual opening. A combination of sash windows on the ground floor and casement windows across both floors brings traditional Georgian character to the property, with classic glazing bars and understated detailing.

Finished in soft white to complement the original red brickwork, the windows feel perfectly at home within the architecture. A timeless look, combined with the security, thermal efficiency and performance of modern glazing.

✨ New Case Study – Georgian Home Renovation ✨

📍 Knebworth

We are thrilled to share this beautiful project, which brings together both classic and contemporary glazing choices throughout the home. From traditional timber windows to expansive aluminium sliding doors and industrial-style internal glazing, it shows how different styles can work beautifully together as part of one complete design.

The project features:

🌿 A mix of timber sash and casement windows, finished in soft white with traditional Georgian bars to complement the character of the home. Black heritage-style handles complete the traditional look.⁠

✨️ Aluminium sliding doors to the contemporary rear extension, with two sets meeting at the corner to create an impressive open-corner solution when the doors are open. When closed, the slim frames maximise the views across the garden. A tall fixed window meets one set of sliding doors on the opposite wall, creating wall-to-wall glass and bringing even more natural light into the space.⁠

🏡 Bespoke aluminium doors on the ground floor, finished in black to complement the aluminium sliding doors on the extension.⁠

🖤 Industrial-style steel internal doors throughout, including large double doors and a single door leading into the kitchen. A feature steel glazing wall and door to the principal bedroom is framed by fixed glazed panels, allowing light to flow through while creating a striking architectural detail.⁠

Snaps from a recent installation, captured in the beautiful sunshine ☀️

These Accoya timber windows are finished in a soft taupe shade, adding warmth to the exterior while retaining an elegant, traditional look. The casement windows are complemented by a fixed feature window positioned above the oak entrance door, designed to work beautifully with the oak-framed porch.

A final look for now at this beautiful new-build home in Leighton Buzzard, featuring our glazing throughout 🏡

To the front, soft cream sash and casement windows add to the timeless farmhouse style, with the warm finish complementing the red brick and slate roof perfectly.

At the rear, the look becomes more contemporary, with three sets of slim aluminium sliding doors opening the living spaces onto the patio and surrounding countryside. Together with the windows, they bring in plenty of natural light and create an easy flow outdoors 🌿

Across our entire glazing solution, every product was selected to offer excellent energy efficiency, security and performance, as you would expect from HBD Systems.

📍 Leighton Buzzard

✨ New Case Study – Glazing for a Traditional New Build ✨

Another fantastic project completed with , where we supplied and installed the complete glazing solution for this beautiful new-build family home.

🤍 Soft cream PVCu sash windows with Georgian bars feature throughout, complemented by casement windows within the dormers to suit the traditional character of the architecture.

🌿 To the rear, sliding doors introduce a more contemporary element. From the sitting room, a three-panel and two-panel set meet at a slim aluminium corner, opening up wonderful views across the surrounding Bedfordshire countryside.

☀️ Further two-panel sliding doors lead from the dining area directly onto the patio, creating an easy connection between the home and garden.

This project is a great example of how we bring together different high-quality glazing products within one complete, project-managed solution - carefully designed, supplied and installed by our team.

The sliding doors were the perfect addition to our client's home, creating the connection to the outdoors that was so important to the overall design. ✨

Set in an elevated position, the sitting room opens onto a patio and garden beyond, so making the most of the views was a key consideration. The slim sightlines allow natural light to flood the space while creating a seamless link between indoors and out, with the added benefit of opening up the living area during the warmer months.

Like many of our clients, they were looking for a bespoke solution that complemented the architecture of their home. To achieve this, we designed the sliding doors to meet fixed glazed panels at the side, creating a striking corner-to-corner glazed design that perfectly suits the contemporary style of the property.

Creating a strong connection to the outdoors was a key priority for our client when designing their extension, making slim-framed sliding doors the ideal solution. ✨

The doors feature a bespoke five-panel configuration, with the right-hand panel sliding behind a single fixed pane and the left-hand side stacking neatly behind two panels. Combined with the fixed window to the side of the opening, the design maximises natural light and creates an impressive glazed elevation overlooking the garden.
