A water tank had been relocated from the bathroom to another location and left behind a not-so-attractive void in the wall.

Rather than to board it up completely and re-tile, our client desired to utilise the space for a cupboard, as well as taking advantage of the cubby space beside.

We framed out for the cubby, and committed to the necessary drywall and plastering. Afterwards we made a custom cabinet with a redwood t/g channel line that was painted to match the t/g bath. A final touch was making and fitting the oak worktop, supported by a french country shelf bracket. Protected with Osmo TopOil.

Fun little project for the Orkney Brewery's Peedie Bottle Shop 🪓🍺. The brewery's Visitor Centre in Quoyloo and the Peedie Bottle Shop in Kirkwall were in need of some display boards that could host branded key rings, magnets and bar blade bottle openers.
Beautiful white oak and rustic wood accompanied with black decoration to emulate the inside of a whisky cask. Thanks for bringing us on "board" 🤓 and looking forward to more niece projects like this!

🌊 📐 Removable Water Tank Closet 📐 🌊

Had the utmost pleasure meeting this fantastic couple who were in need of their newly installed water tank concealed by removable walls. Always ready to embrace a challenge.

This water tank closet has three removable walls made with standard red wood channel lining, and a small door added for easy access to the service panel. Front wall accessible by latch mechanisms, and the other two can be released separately by screw in dire straits. Space was a factor as an existing access panel still needed to be accessible, hence the angles. A black cabin hook and black tee hinges were used to compliment the current ironmongery of the house interior. Fresh oak skirting was made and fitted to match the existing skirtings in the house, and the whole thing was finished with Dulux paint and Osmo

A spruced🌲 up sitting room for a lovely couple on this windy piece of rock! (Lots of scribing went into this one).

Task 1: An old stone gable-end wall was timber-framed and plaster-boarded. A wee cubby/shelf was requested to make use of the void in the wall, so that was fitted to match the existing window sills. Lastly we fit a mantel for over the stove to tie it all together.

Task 2: After the wall was finished, we fit in a new floor and some skirting boards to match the colour and scheme of the sitting room. Painting and decorating by us as always.

Task 3. Lastly, we replaced the existing doors with some Holdenby Oak Glazed Doors that pretty much change the entire vibe of the whole room on their own!

As always, a fun project, and never a dull moment when you have the hands on the tools. 🌊

A very cool project. Solveig Hair & Beauty Orkney, in Kirkwall, was in desperate need of a reception desk makeover. The original desk was (putting it lightly) definitely out-dated. The salon itself incorporates modern neutral tones and rustic wood elements, so the approach to this desk update was to essentially match those vibes: Modern, rustic, wood.
Some demolition, a fresh new paint job, white oak, finished with a lovely dark stain and oil. This was a fun one. Thanks for bringing me on board!
