🌳 Ash tree reduction in Tobermory 🌳

A nice bit of climbing this week reducing a mature ash tree sitting on a steep banking above a burn. The tree had become tall and heavy, so we carefully brought it back to make it safer while keeping its natural shape and giving it a good chance for healthy regrowth.

All work done by rope and harness with controlled lowering to protect the garden below, tricky access but a really satisfying job to complete!

Always good to be working in such a beautiful corner of Tobermory. If you’ve got a tree you’re unsure about, we’re always happy to come have a look and offer advice.

🌳 Recent Job at Torloisk Estate 🌳

We were called out to Torloisk Estate to deal with a windblown tree that had failed onto a wall and was hanging over the dog kennels and an oil tank.

Due to the risks and the position of the tree, we brought in DoDo and his cherry picker to allow us to dismantle it safely and in a controlled manner. This ensured the tree was removed without causing any further damage to the wall, kennels, or oil tank.

A great example of using the right equipment and planning to keep people, property, and animals safe.

🎄 That’s *nearly* a wrap on another year at CGS Tree Services 🎄

As we come to the end of the year, we just want to say a huge thank you to all of our customers, friends and supporters. The support we’ve had over the past year has been amazing, and we genuinely couldn’t do what we do without you.

From storm damage call-outs to planned tree work and everything in between, it’s been a busy year out on the tools. This video shows just a small snapshot of the work we’ve been proud to carry out throughout the year.

This week, we carried out the safe take down of this large Scot’s Pine which had developed a severe crack running up the trunk. With structural damage like this, the tree had become unstable and posed a serious risk of splitting or falling, especially in high winds!!

Our team safely dismantled the tree in a controlled manner, ensuring no damage to the surrounding area. 🌳💪

🌳 Safe Tree Removal Completed Ahead of Mull Rally Weekend 🌳

After Storm Amy, we carried out the safe removal of a few unstable birch trees leaning over the road in Tobermory. With the Mull Rally weekend bringing extra traffic, it was important to make sure the area was clear and safe for everyone passing through.

All work was completed carefully to avoid damage to the surrounding area, vegetation and wildlife habitats.

Big thanks to the community for their patience while we got the job done safely and efficiently. We hope everyone enjoys a great Mull Rally weekend! 🚗💨🌲
