We are honoured to have been awarded a Civic Society Award for our old school house conversion project. The annual awards scheme spotlights new buildings and conservation work to existing buildings.

Heartfelt thanks to our clients for choosing us again (this was the third project we have completed for them) and thanks to Builders who we always enjoy working with.

It is really special that Salisbury has a Civic Society who go to such lengths to safeguard the historic buildings of Salisbury whilst promoting high standards of contemporary design in all aspects of the built environment and in doing so recognise and award local practices and craftmanship. We would like to thank Richard Deane and the organisation volunteers for their passionate work.

Peter Borchert is one such professional. Highly experienced, extraordinarily intuitive, full of interesting and original ideas, willing to make minor uncontroversial decisions on behalf of the client, and happy to use discretion where appropriate.

Peter and his team have helped me on three occasions now; all three different in character. One was our family home; one was the annex, which is partly used for family purposes and partly let; and finally a complex project where my wife and I are charitable trustees of a disused village schoolhouse being brought back to life for residential purposes - and where special fiduciary considerations were therefore needed.

In all three cases Peter took the trouble to understand not only the requirements of the project; but also the special needs of the same individuals wearing different hats.
