This is really great to see! Main supermarkets now, are selling all bird feeding equipment and feed and at a good price aswell!
This comes after this morning i went out and filled our bird feeders up and noticed how quiet it was, even on a cold crisp winters day!
With a cold week ahead, keep the seeds from freezing up, aswell as the bird baths, fresh food each day will help our struggling feathered singers along!
Also Happy New Year to everyone, i hope you had a lovely Christmas and NY.
Im off home to replinish the feeders!

🍎Apple tree reduction and an Owl box installation for a customer today!🕊

After careful revision on box installations, wether it be owl or any other residents, this box was placed with a clear flight path, away from prevailing winds and at a good 15-20ft in height.

And from a good spotter from the ground in Terry Michael Langford, we carefully carried out this reduction and thin out on this very veteran Apple tree which was bearing alot of weight on far out limbs. Not to mention being riddled with Mistletoe. 🕊🌲

The wind and rain was definatley a oncoming hello to the season ahead ⛈️

Lovely days work today, coffee and homemade lemon drizzle cake on tap! 🍰
The 3x Sycamores and 1x Hawthorn had a monolith done on each today to customers specification.
Super super super super busy Autumn and Winter ahead which is great 💪.
Lots of songbirdscheme content coming soon aswell! 🕊🌳

Excited to be teaming up with SongBird Survival! These guys do great scientific work for the songbirds, check out there website, from figures and numbers of bird species all the way to cat collars that save songbirds lives! 😱. A brilliant organisation and also another method to helping out with our , proud to say we have interfered with zero nests this year as Kin Tree's. But also set up countless bird boxes!

Here's a video of some Birches that we had to reduce the height of today in some pretty challenging winds!
Never nice climbing in winds, let alone when you're up birches like these which were just awful and mainly hollow!
Some of the statements I say in the video are not technically true, but this also can happen if bad practise is in place.
-Rubbing or close limbs,
-long pieces of half dead/alive wood (due to no pruning points)
-deep cavities,
-weak regrowth
-bad branch form,

Actually quite surprising how much timber we got out of these rows of birches today, and took a good 15-20ft of tops out along with trying to tidy the trees up and give them a new lease of life.

Alot of break ins lately locally, and still the ongoing issue of bad practise within the industry.
Its just a stark reminder of who you let in to your gardens or households, do your research, and get lots of qoutes!
