Beneath every beautiful deck we construct lies the most important aspect of the build - a suspended sub-frame, supported by concrete anchored posts. For the majority of the restoration projects we undertake, this isn't what we tend to find - more often than not the sub-frame is in direct contact with the ground, pulling up moisture and subsequently causing wood decay... this method of construction leaves the use of posts redundant and therefore they just aren't there!
