Hi Folks. I'm suddenly looking for some small infill lime plastering work as the time I had set aside to work on my own 16C cottage has been scuppered by the need to pay an eye watering fee to fix my greyhounds torn rear leg tendon. My main website shows a selection of completed work.
Happy to travel for the right job too.(jan '23)

Just received photos from the Chapel client now building has had a chance to dry out by the simple sprayed application of my specialist porous lime render - this is what she said about the job: Thank you so much for the work you did on our problematic wall. It is still looking extremely fine and we are still receiving compliments from our neighbours about its appearance. Also, 5 months after you finished the work, we have just had a stretch of 3 weeks of continual rain and there has been no evidence of penetrating damp at all, so your render certainly seems to be doing the job we needed. Thank you so much. We will definitely be recommending you to our friends and neighbours.

Spraying lime render on an old cob cottage at Idminston near salisbury - the cob wall is fully protected whilst moisture is wicked outwards

Edward has developed a unique technique of spraying successive thin layers of porous lime render with some hand detailing to show the building fabric coming through and damage repaired eg brick spalling or chiseling with bolsters. The wall is fully protected from the elements but due to the capillary action from the new render excess moisture is pulled outwards instead of inwards as damp problems within rooms. As impervious sand is not usually used, just porous crushed stone mixed with extra mature lime putty, a soft porous layer is sympathetic with the original building design and is favoured by conservation minded owners and professionals
