Gamlingay And District Gardening Club

Gamlingay And District Gardening Club Friendly & supportive local gardeners club. We meet on the first Tuesday of most months. All welcome. The annual membership fee is £15.

This includes the monthly meeting talks from a variety of gardening experts from specialist nurseries to gardening journalists. The growers always attend with a selection of plants, a lot of which would not be readily available at the local garden centres. The club generally has a couple of excursions to interesting gardens during the summer months. The gardening club is a good opportunity to conn

ect with others who are keen gardeners and are happy to share their own experiences and advice. The clubs main fundraising event is the annual Plant Sale that takes place in May. Members of the club grow plants, vegetables or split hardy perennials and there is a huge variety of plants to buy for very reasonable prices. This enables local gardeners to buy things that are happy to grown in our local soil, and facilitates the club's ability to book high quality speakers for the following year. We are always happy to welcome new members, or those who wish to attend as a visitor (£4 per session).

We had a highly engaging and informative evening yesterday, as Kerry French delivered a presentation on the subject of Roses. The presentation clearly demonstrated Kerry's profound knowledge and passion for Roses. We extend our sincere gratitude to Kerry and all attendees for their presence. It was particularly pleasing to welcome several new members to the club.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Josephine at the Old Rectory, Wrestlingworth, for hosting our inaugural club members visit yesterday evening. The National Garden Scheme Garden provided a truly inspiring experience for all attendees. While photographs may not fully capture its beauty, the evening concluded with delightful refreshments and conversation amidst the serene garden setting.

We wish the Sutton Plant Sale team a great weekend.
