Firstly I can’t take credit for the whole of this transformation as the Customers, Amy and Pete have put a huge amount of hard work into this project and I have to take my hat off to them as I knew how difficult it was going to be.

I’ve been working on this garden for the past three years and as you can see from the first photo it was rather tired and unkempt and as part of the transformation the customers wanted the ugly over grown pond removed and to have the area returfed.

I gave the customers two options, either pay me to do it or do it themselves and I would advise and guide them through the process which would save them a small fortune. The customers opted for the second option but insisted that I renovated the lawn.

This phase of the transformation has been done over the past month and the grass seed has been down for just 12 days. An outstanding team effort.

As most of you are aware I work alone however, last year I took on a veteran and an old friend from my time in the Army with a view to setting him up in business as a professional gardener.

We had a 12 month plan but because of his keenness and abilities in just 4 months I awarded Barry John White or Chalky as he’s more commonly known his Sheriffs badge and he started his journey finding his own feet within the gardening world.

Well I was supposed to be having a week off to relax but by Tuesday I was itching to get back into my gardens so I decided to catch up with some of my long list outstanding jobs.

The wall renovation isn’t finished so I’ll do another post when the transformation is complete 😉

After yesterday’s mammoth mowing and blowing session my body was well and truly feeling it so today I have mostly been taking it easy and continuing with a little garden renovation that I am currently chipping away at.

The customer wanted a small partitioning fence constructed and whilst I was there I thought I’d give the garden a post winter tidy and feed as well.

Next task sort out that front wall 😉

After seeing a plea from a member of the Healthier Hero’s CIC Charity on facebook I decided to have a trip up to Morgan House near Guisborough to donate some of my machinery and tools.

For those who are not aware Healthier Heros CIC provide supported living accommodation, rehabilitate and reconnect veterans and their families.

If any of my followers, friends and family have any spare gardening tools, especially those that can be used in allotments please consider donating them to this very worthwhile cause.
