These oak engineered floors had all reached the same stage — worn coatings, dull appearance and surface damage from everyday use.
Different homes.
Different rooms.
Same careful process.
Each floor was professionally assessed, sanded with controlled preparation, and refinished to bring the natural oak grain back to life.
Engineered floors can be restored beautifully — but only when the top layer is treated correctly and not over-sanded.
The result?
✔ Clear, natural grain
✔ Smooth, even finish
✔ Durable protection
✔ Floors that look like they belong in the home again
If your engineered wood floor is looking tired, it may not need replacing.
Restored, not replaced.

Parquet floors are beautiful — but they need the right approach.
Unlike straight floorboards, parquet has to be sanded carefully to keep the pattern flat, sharp and even. Done properly, it completely transforms the room.
These Doncaster parquet floor had years of wear and surface scratches. We carefully sanded it using dust-controlled equipment, filled gaps where needed, and finished it with a premium hardwax oil to enhance the natural grain while protecting it for years to come.
If your parquet floor in Doncaster is looking tired, scratched or dull — it may not need replacing.
It may just need restoring.

Mid-sand on an engineered wood floor
This is the stage where the real transformation starts.
The belt sander is carefully removing the worn factory coating, built-up dirt and years of foot traffic — revealing clean, healthy timber underneath.
With engineered floors, this part matters.
They need the right pressure, correct grit sequence and controlled sanding to protect the wear layer while still achieving a perfectly flat, even surface.
No shortcuts. No rushing.
Just careful prep so the final finish goes down properly and lasts.
If your engineered floor looks tired or patchy, it doesn’t always need replacing — it often just needs restoring properly.
Restored, not replaced.

Another tired oak floor brought back to life.

This one was heavily worn with years of surface damage and old coating built up. We sanded the floor back to clean, bare oak, removing all signs of wear before sealing it with a fresh lacquered finish for long-lasting protection.

A good example of why restoring is often better than replacing – the character is still there, just properly protected again.

If your oak floor is looking past its best, feel free to get in touch for advice.

Engineered Oak Floor Restoration (Before & After)
These before & after photos show a 4 mm engineered oak floor that we carefully sanded back, fully removing the old coating before refinishing it in a closely matched colour to keep the original look of the floor.
Engineered floors require a controlled, experienced approach — done correctly, they can be restored beautifully rather than replaced.
Finished with a hardwax oil to enhance the grain, protect the wood, and allow for easier future maintenance.
