It’s been a little while since we last posted, and in wanting to reach as many of you as possible, it feels only right to pause and say thank you.

To all of Mum and Dad’s customers, friends, and family—you have surpassed every expectation. Your love, kind words, and generosity in donating to Seaton League of Friends, Seaton Hospice at Home have helped bring light to the darkest of days.

We continue to raise both the much-needed funds and awareness for this truly amazing charity, along with its most sincere and wonderful staff.

It’s rare a post, especially recently as I’ve been in my safe space with family trying to navigate life without mum. Grief is emotionally and physically exhausting. Which I’m still learning.

I want to give something back to the nurses,
Without the support from the Seaton Hospice @ home team Mums last wishes to be home with her family wouldn’t have been possible.
Mum loved to be out walking, cycling and clocking up the miles. So in memory of my beautiful mum with the support of family and my work family I will be clocking up the miles (normally 100 miles May) but this will be my aim in September to get 100 miles in.

Not only is tomorrow VALENTINES DAY, it’s also Mid Week Charity Quiz Night at Pitchside at Seaton Town Football Club….whats not to LOVE ❤️

This month’s charity is Seaton & District Hospital League of Friends, on behalf of Linda at Scalwell Lane Nursery.

We had a great turn out last week, it’s always fab to see so many of you….so, same again this week?

It numbs us to write this but our dear mum Linda, passed away after a short but extremely aggressive battle with cancer.

Linda passed away at home on Friday 19th January 2024 surrounded by her immediate family.
A funeral service will be held at East Devon Crematorium (Wimple) for friends and family to attend on Friday 9th February 2024 at 14:30. Donations in memory of Linda for Seaton & District Hospital League of Friends can be made online at www.hansfords-funeral.co.uk (with donations to go to the Seaton Hospice at Home) would be appreciated instead of flowers. As some of you may be aware, after some 33 years in business, we have decided it’s finally time to ‘shut up shop‘ to the general public.

We will still be growing and supplying plants for Seaton Town Council and other local businesses but other than that, the nursery is now closed.

We cannot thank you, our customers, enough for all of your support and continued custom over the years.

Here is to our new found time doing the other things we so dearly love and spending precious moments with our family.

We are pleased to announce that we will be….

🎉OPEN FROM 10AM ON MONDAY 1ST MAY🎉

Scalwell Lane Nursery will be open from 10am on Monday 1st May 2023 and we look forward to seeing and catching up with all of our customers, old and new.

Now let’s get ready to have those gardens/pots/boarders all looking colourful, pruned and perfect for the long summer days we are all longing for.
