Winter isn’t a quiet season for your garden—it’s preparation season.
What services we do in winter
During winter, we clear away dead plants and fallen leaves to reduce pests and disease. It’s the ideal time to prune trees and shrubs (roses, wisteria) while they’re dormant, and to improve soil with compost or mulch. Bulb planting may be finished, but planting bulbs “in the green” is just beginning—making it the perfect time to divide snowdrops, bluebells, and narcissus.
Winter is also ideal for moving plants that are in the wrong place and for planting new shrubs, hedges, or trees. Use this quieter season to plan ahead for spring… your future garden will thank you 🌱✨

A year ago, we took a wild leap of faith and bought a Grade II Old Village Hall at auction 🏛️ It was totally spontaneous — we spotted it online just two days before and my partner decided to go for it. There wasn’t much competition (for once!), and somehow the stars, roads, and some very kind people aligned for us ✨
Before this, we tried to buy properties and got outbid every single time… so this one felt meant to be. Honestly, there were moments I thought we wouldn’t make it, but here we are — still standing, still building, and still excited for what’s ahead!
There’s so much work left to do (the inside still looks like a bit of a war zone 😅), but hey — the garden on the left is finally complete and that’s a win in our books 🥳🌿
